Pops of color accent a timeless combination of exposed beams, pressed tin and hardwood floors. The owners' eclectic taste is evident throughout this five-bedroom farmhouse.

The House Tour. The house sits in a clearing on the edge of 50 private acres, just across the road from its 1,100 feet of frontage on the Willowemoc Creek, one of the area's hallowed trout rivers. Enter through the kitchen, and this just might be your favorite room in the house. The chef's kitchen is a feast for the eyes, anchored by an antique wood stove, juxtaposed with a modern Wolf dual fuel range and oven. The kitchen features butcher block countertops, pressed tin accent walls, a farmhouse sink and exposed brick and beams. Sip coffee in the breakfast nook or continue on to the dining room to host a memorable feast for friends and family.
A short hallway extends from the kitchen to the dining room on one end and a full bathroom on the other end. Cross over the hallway from the kitchen to enter the light-filled living room with its painted pressed tin ceilings and a fireplace with a wood stove insert. Continue on into the front sitting room or loop back around into the dining room, and this completes the first floor.
Now we move upstairs to the primary bedroom with room for a king bed and en suite bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. The second floor hosts four more bedrooms - perhaps best suited for a queen, two fulls and one twin - along with a shared bathroom with shower and tub. Each room enjoys hardwood floors throughout. A hallway reading nook connects the two sides of the second story.
The Grounds. Back downstairs, exit the kitchen to the bluestone patio to grill and sip cider in Adirondack chairs.
Take a few steps further to an epic fire pit and stargaze like a champ.
A brief walk into the forest leads you to the site of a swimming pond (work in progress).
The Area. Given the proximity of The Estelle to the heart of Livingston Manor, this is a great pick for hosting both on the property and at a variety of nearby hip restaurants and cocktail bars. The Estelle has been a popular short-term vacation rental with Red Cottage since 2017. The new owners would be encouraged to continue the tradition or to simply make it their own private escape or full-time residence.
Meticulously renovated over a number of years, The Estelle now showcases the original character of the 1865 farmhouse itself, alongside comfortable updates and modern amenities. Pops of color accent a timeless combination of exposed beams, pressed tin and hardwood floors. The owners' eclectic taste is evident throughout this five-bedroom farmhouse.
